My First Day of OMAD. One Meal A Day

Most of all, I'm tired of making excuses and tired of failing. I want to trust myself again, to set goals and achieve them.

The last time I felt and looked beautiful was 16 years ago.

I was at my perfect weight, able to wear whatever I wanted, and confident in my skin.

Since then, I've tried various diets, workouts, and supplements, but I've often failed myself.

I'm tired. Most of all, I'm tired of making excuses and tired of failing. I want to trust myself again, to set goals and achieve them.

I notice that when I set a goal and focus more often than not I achieve them. I just have to have a concrete plan and determination to execute it.

I want to start with my WHY. I want to say overall is health, but that would be a lie. I want to be completely brutally honest here.

I want to look beautiful.

I don't want to just feel it. I want something tangible and reflect it in the mirror. Is it vain? It can be, but this is me.

So what's the plan?

Intermittent fasting: I've chosen OMAD, One meal A Day. I'll eat whatever I want as long as it's whole food and not garbage. After I eat, I brush my teeth and snap back my brace, lol. 😂 So I won't get tempted to eat anything anymore.

Workout choice: I'll be walking for 1 hour or aiming for 1K steps a day. I don't have a gym nearby, and I don't want to rely solely on OMAD. Walking is the most doable for me, and I enjoy walking in my neighborhood.

Sleep: I aim to get 7 to 8 hours of sleep so I won't feel groggy the next day. I've discovered that when I sleep more, I have more energy the next day and can wake up early, giving me more time to burn calories.

Hydration: Sometimes thirst can be mistaken for hunger. I need to make sure I drink at least 8 glasses of water a day.

Miscellaneous: I'll drink black coffee if I start feeling hungry before my OMAD and matcha when I feel hungry after it.

Brown Rice 410 Calories

Two Large Eggs 140 Calories

1 Large Purple Organic Sweet Potato 250 Calories

Ice Matcha Latte 200 Calories

Watermelon 200 Calories

To be honest, I feel satiated and happy after my meal. I also walk for an hour before I break my fast. I'm not planning to count calories. The details above are just a pattern I would like to follow, (I am not counting calories, I hate math) so I know (and you know, in case you are reading this) that I am not starving myself, yet I still need to maintain a caloric deficit for this to work.
